Project management is an essential component of professional engineering practice. This course introduces fundamental project management principles and techniques applicable to engineering projects, including project planning, organization, scheduling, resource coordination, cost control, risk management, team coordination, project execution, monitoring, and completion. Participants will examine the major stages of a project and nine key project management areas, with emphasis on applying effective management techniques to address the technical, schedule, cost, quality, and coordination challenges encountered during engineering project delivery. The course is based on Project Management Made Easy by Sid Kemp, PMP, and provides practical guidance for developing and implementing project plans, coordinating project teams, managing project requirements and changes, and completing engineering projects in accordance with established professional requirements. The course has a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
