This 8-hour course covers the traditional lightning protection installation requirements for ordinary structures, miscellaneous structures and special occupancies, heavy-duty stacks, structures containing flammable vapors, flammable gases, or liquids that can give off flammable vapors, structures housing explosive materials, wind turbines, watercraft, airfield lighting circuits, and solar arrays.
The intent of the course is to have the student read the standard which provides guidance and information pertinent to the specification, design, installation, and maintenance of lightning protection systems in industrial and commercial facilities. This is a practical way to receive continuing educational credits for reading and understanding the content of this important industry standard.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
